To me this is good news:
The well is flowing back significant fluids on a small choke (to reduce chances of plugging the perfs) - remember there is still treatment water to get rid of before we get realistic hydrocarbon flows.
The wellhead flowing pressure is strong, and the wells potential with a larger choke indicates a a very commercial high quality oil well to me.
I just don't see what the negative sentiment is based on?
