A bit of research reveals that 33% of all natgas in the U.S is used for industrial purposes,manufacturing,steel making etc.A further 31% for Electricity generation,22% for domestic use and 14% for commercial use hospitals ,catering ,restraunts etc and transportation.Obviously domestic and commercial use peak in winter but as the majority of demand is industrial the economy is all important to the natgas price.Approx 61% of all homes in the U.S directly use gas.2% use heating oil.
