You're talking about technology to reduce carbon emissions using alternative energy generation and storage mechanisms. That have possible applications to ADO technology. Possible.
ADO's technology might be able to do something to remove carbon, remotely MIGHT.
But as yet we don't have any clue how to do it. This is where your analogy with Y2K falls down.
(What I'm wondering is why the big discussion on Climate change, when this basic reality about emissions reduction cf. removal of existing carbon isn't even acknowledged? The worlds climate is a vastly complex system but the inputs and the overload are there to be measured. We're in overload right now. So much discussion, so much rearrangement of the deck chairs. IMO.)
