Shareholders have been waiting for finance for almost 3 years now. Now, I appreciate that SRK’s review of the BFS and RAP took far longer than anyone could’ve imagined and then we had the sudden legislation changes in Tanzania. But, if you go back and read all of the subsequent company announcements there seems to be a lot of ‘copy & paste’ (of updates on finance) but no actual reported tangible progress on the finance front.

IMO you don’t remove a finance option (Nedbank) from the table until you are in a position to make an announcement that you have secured finance (from KFW). My view is that Nedbank has most likely stepped away rather than us telling them that we will not be proceeding with partial finance through them.

And, yes, what happened to the 16% free carry interest to the Tanz Govt, does it apply or not? Surely after more than 12 months after the legislation came into effect management would be able to confirm whether or not it applies to Epanko.

I’m very happy with the progress made on EcoGraf but the updates on Epanko and finance really do leave a lot to be desired.
