The key quote there IMO is; “However, the results are yet to be seen.”
Here are a couple of excerpts from the Annual Report:
"Project finance discussions are well advanced, with lenders awaiting clarification from the Mining Commission on various aspects of the legislation affecting lending arrangements."
"Epanko is now ready for development. It will comply with the new mining regulations and is only awaiting the completion of negotiations with the Tanzanian Government to facilitate bank financing."
So, which is it, are we awaiting clarification from the Mining Commission or on negotiations with the Tanz Govt?
Now, I suspect the above is simply a regurgitation of previous announcements, but when you’re paying Read Corporate thousands of dollars to assist in the preparation of announcements the least that they could do is come up with some fresh wording. It is however on management to proof all announcements and make sure that shareholders are clear on exactly where we are at with finance negotiations. IMO we are anything but clear.
