Another issue that is relevent now is that even IF a smaller, more efficient coy. could produce a LORENZO style copy more cheaply can they:

1) Do it in a significantly shorter timeframe to get the product to market quickly?

2) Find a client to bank roll the project?

I would guess that if LORENZO works; is now being proven in reference sites; is marketed by a proven operator with the free cashflow to spend on marketing - then potential customers will by LORENZO as opposed to waiting "x" number of years for a product that may or may not work.

I saw the CEO of Athena Health on CNBC the other day. Although slightly different market position he was extremely happy about the Obama stimulus package and said that for the health IT sector it was a massive US$ 18 billion injection.

He was talking about major IT problems about connectivity, etc that LORENZO solves...

With IBA having a system already to go this could be very positive news...
