Does anyone have an opinion about the fact that certain areas of NZ coastline may be going to be given to local iwi to become custodians of these areas? This could mean the iwi decides who can access these areas and when. This will give these iwi authority over who fishes, dives , sunbathes , beachcombes , walks , surfs , has fun at these places. This to me divides us as Kiwis into racial groups (Divide and Rule) and will cause unnecessary animosity between people who live in NZ. Why is this happening?
