I now wonder how quickly the media & gov. will seek to separate Australian society from this horrid act. Will we also see an appeal designed to mitigate backlash?
Of course we won’t. It will be a game of making this stick to anyone not left of Stalin.

For contrast we can all look at almost any attack by a muslim.
Pulse nightclub? Nothing to do with islam or muslims- Christians actually copped criticism regarding a false view of history.

Rotherham England? 100’s of English girls targeted for rape & harm by muslim men resulted in..... ‘the victims should just shut up for the sake of diversity’ ( tweet by a UK politician ).

Any attack where the attacker openly declares islam to be their motivation? ‘Nothing to do with islam!’

Double standards don’t induce cohesion. They only create justifications for division.

Signs held aloft in public such as ‘behead the infidel’ ( non muslim ), are treated as nothing while signs such as ‘vote no to mass immigration’ are treated as unacceptable.

Opposition to LGBT+ classes by non muslim parents? ‘Bigots!’
Opposition to the same by muslim parents recently in England? ‘Shhh- we’ve already cancelled the classes, nothing to see here, you bigot!’

No good. Let’s all talk. Let’s all let each other talk in similar ways.

Violence sucks. The perpetrator/s in this incident should have found another way to express themselves & deserve whatever punishment they receive.
