Yes exactly. We aren't because any society that didn't run like this was taken over and overpowered... Exactly what I mean.
You should thank your lucky stars we DO have a functioning and powerful police and army.
Otherwise the next most violent / powerful group could be in power like the lunatics that did this crime, or other radical groups.
