Despite the fluff in the announcement. IMO the primary and underlying purpose of the buyback was to support the share price. It achieved that original and primary purpose whilst the market was in the process of correcting. The company has essentially determined that it is best to just leave the market to its own devices given a natural level of support is in now place, essentially a waste of funds otherwise. Hence the company has stopped the buyback.
It's really not something that I wish to be debating or discussing further.
