Please read the research reports and or google it you do not have such basic knowledge what is the purpose of buyback.
When and Why does a company decide to buyback its shares on market and what is the purpose for the buyback?
Buyback is used to signal the future prospects of the company. So for investors, buyback is a signal about management's confidence in the company. If the management stops buying back, it could send a negative signal to the market. Investors or market may perceive that suddenly the company may need money therefore stop buying back the shares as outlined 3 months ago.
