I have nothing against Solar I have had a Solarhart for years i live in an apartment and not able to get a subsidy for panels. But what gripes me is when some of these jet setting loonies talk about renewables without factoring in how does industry compete on the global level when every other country has nuclear or still using cheap coal. Do people realise we still have smelters,refineries, mines. manufacturing etc in Australia that requires cheap electricity.
Also I am not getting how producing huge batteries for houses is going to be good for the environment more waste produced.
I am fully behind building nuclear power plants.

We have the worlds highest electricity prices for 3 main reasons.
1- $3 billion annual renewable energy subsidies which discourages investment in conventional resources.
2- high gas prices due to exporting gas.
3- closure of coal plants.
