It's a good video - obviously (as is backed up by his data) Australia is a much better candidate for renewables... unfortunately the "democratisation" of energy is going to be resisted by the rich and powerful so our best and fastest route to getting rid of deadly fossil fuels is nuclear which has the bonus side effect of having a very small footprint and thus displacing far less flora and fauna.

Any serious environmentalist should be embracing nuclear (and now thankfully many of them are).
