I suspect that we failed to appreciate the difference between conducting a trial on our own behalf using a CRO, and inviting a third party to conduct a trial for themselves.

The result has been insanely frustrating! I infer from the complete shut-down from Carrick Institute that the results are clinically significant. Unfortunately we have no way of being certain that it's positive. We're all pretty sure it's positive because of the interim findings announced last year. Carrick as closed up tighter than a clam and as far as I'm aware haven't even told us what journal the findings will be published in.

It's understandable from the institute's perspective. The last thing they want is a leak of the findings to emerge without the underlying methodology, protocols or statistical analysis to back it up. There'd be such a storm of questions and allegations that the truth could be lost amongst the hype before the article was on anybody's desk. We've already seen plenty of material here on Hotcopper questioning the credibility of both Carrick and the Institute.

Still... frustrating as!!
