Sydney land release a step closer: State Govt. The New South Wales Planning Minister, Frank Sartor, says he has taken another step towards preparing more land for housing development in south-west Sydney.
The Government is under pressure to speed up the release of land on the city's fringes, to ease the home affordability crisis.
The Government has now released the detailed plans for Oran Park and Turner Road for public exhibition.
Mr Sartor says the Government is pushing ahead with the work at record speed.
"So what we have done in less that a year is what normally takes years to do ten years normally. To get land to market talking 7 to 10 years. We will be able to get land to the market in these areas in less than two years, one to two years," he said.
