I know pretty much everyone has lost interest in TAM but I dont see much about the story I dont like. WTP was a cash burner, with no prospect of TAM taking it into production. Its far better to offload the asset, remove the liabilities and end up with a net cash + listed investments of around $13m. This also demonstrates that NST are even more committed to the region which in turn increases the likelihood of NST taking CTP into production. Now, the board is doing what it has to do....nothing. In the meantime, NST will spend a lot of money in the ground and upgrade our reserves. Free carried until the first 5000 ounces are produced and we still retain 40% of the asset. Best of all, when the cash does start coming in, we have around $200m of tax losses we can use...at today's prices, assuming 125k oz pa production, we will be on a PE of around 1.0-1.5 x. If there is a simpler, lower risk opportunity in the market I havent seen it. Its just boring, no Pilbara hype and not Cobalt. Just an opportunity for the stock to re-rate up to peer valuations as we come closer to production....it could easily be up 300-400% over the next 2-3 years.
