    I don't think SAU wants to be a mine operator however when the industry sentiment is such that next to no one is willing to invest (SP reflects this) we have few options. I see SK to be far more likely for SAU to become self sufficient in, than Aus. All of the old mines have some easily accessible ore that could be graded and transported to a central low volume mill that would provide adequate revenue possible even surplus to grow. Much of the labor could also come from within.
    So if we are to believe that Golbong is a go ahead wouldn't it make sense to develop a mill there as soon as possible and start limited production and reduce cash burn.
    Plan A is not working because of events outside of our control. Time to implement plan B , if conditions change and gold becomes the in thing we can then go back to plan A with very strong validation of our projects .
