ANOTHER player gone.
NRL boss Todd Greenberg has taken his first stance in a new era of tougher penalties for misbehaving players, promising to rub Ben Barba out of the game for good.Praising the swift action of the North Queensland Cowboys to terminate Barba’s contract after viewing CCTV vision of him allegedly assaulting his partner Ainslie Currie at a Townsville casino, Greenberg confirmed the former Dally M Medal winner has run out of chances in the NRL.
Although Greenberg is yet to view the footage of the incident which is alleged to have occurred over the Australia Day long weekend, Greenberg said if the vision shows violence against women, Barba will not return to the NRL under his watch.
