engin cuts VoIP call rates and monthly rental Friday, 05 August 2005 VoIP provider, engin (ASX:ENG), has reduced its call rates and cut the price of its monthly plan, with new prices taking effect immediately.
engin’s new offerings include:
- national call rate reduced from 5 cents per minute to 10 cents untimed to anywhere in Australia
- $9.95 monthly plan for the engin Voice Box Series 1 and Series 2
- 29 cents per minute to mobiles
- engin to engin calls free
Commenting on engin’s continued momentum, Ilkka Tales, Chief Executive Officer, engin said, “Our new 10 cents untimed, anytime Australia-wide call rate challenges the outdated concept of charging people a timed call because they live a long way from someone else.”
engin Voice Box Series 1 and engin Voice Box Series 2, enables consumers and businesses to make calls to, and receive calls from, any landline or mobile phone over their existing broadband Internet connection. engin Voice Box Series 2 also includes a new feature that enables customers to phone their own phone number and connect remotely to their engin Voice Box Series 2. Once connected they can make cheap phone calls to any phone anywhere in the world. Receivers of engin calls do not need to be an engin customer.
