    Novatis aren't the only ones. The underlying treatments required to see cure or ongoing remission of many cancers are (I suspect) largely with us today. Getting these innovative treatments fully developed and to the clinic and then learning how to tailor treatment combinations to the the biology of each cancer and each patient is the next big step.

    Bigpharma is of course on a close lookout for anything the "works" (as Mr Jimenez puts it) or which works in combination with other treatments. This is the space in which small biotechs can play ball with bigpharma.
