This is something im not sure about as well: apparently royalpay started wechat pay back in 2015, but it only signed the deal with NOV recently, so im not sure how it able to do business for the half year without the AFSL.

Royalpay is a new startup fintech it self, it attempted to raise 20M RMB on a chinese crowd funding website https://www.choudao.com/pitches/c7dfa4da-c4f7-4754-963d-47b5cf55d874. See this if you can read chinese. But it failed, only 400000 RMB was raised.

I can only find this. Its already held talked with the likes of vicinity. however words are royalpay is going to sue paylinx, as royalpay claims the photos paylinx used in the ad belongs to them. Not sure if David Southwick aware he's photo was used as well.
