Hey, it might come as a shock to some but unless people with information that's not in the market trade shares, charting would be much less useful than it is. As many chartists know, the art of reading charts was much easier in the 'olden days'. IMO a big reason for this is that in those days heavy trading was done in a way that today would be called insider trading. That trading showed up in the charts and experienced chartist could look at charts and put 2 and 2 together and know what was going on. That is not so easy these days but the clues are there. If there was no such trading going on at all, there would be fewer clues for the chartist. Sorry but that is how I see things.
