"Your argument is incorrect. All employees only get paid in arrears - The arrears is either monthly or fortnightly."
This above statement you have made Joe is totally incorrect. All employees DONT just get paid in arrears.
Paid monthly on the 15th of the month from the start to end of the month means an employee is getting paid 2 weeks in arrears and in advance. EG: paid 15th of June for all of June
So dont pay them the 15th of the following month pay them on the 20th for a fortnight and then fortnightly and the company is WAY in front. The employee loses out Joe, PERIOD!! The company pockets a bucket!!
Very shrewd indeed, but so underhand Joe.
You are right its not rocket science, they have changed employees contracts to suit themselves.
Changes of terms and conditions should be by mutual agreement not by dictatorship, this may enlighten you to the harmony and style within. I am certainly enlightened.
"bag the company if they are wrong but when they are doing something that benefits the employee and then they get bagged - that is really bad"
They deserve bagging until they change their style!!
Cheers
