Admittedly yes La Granja is taking an eternity to get anything going. I wish they'd pursued with the trialling of in-situ leaching as opposed to heap leaching. They weren't prepared to give it a go. Still struggling to get decent recovery out of La Granja ore from what I hear. Resolution still I think looks ok to get going. Its in a brownfields area, BHP (ie. Magma Copper) used to own it, the Superior area in AZ is economically depressed and desperate for the mine to get going - and what I hear is that the land swap deal might not be too far away.

I think Pebble is dead (hence me not mentioning it in my earlier post). Far too much negative press - esp around the potential impacts to sensitive salmon breeding areas. A PR disaster in the making there.

I would be thinking RIO would be more interested in U out of the region now than Cu. Now the Oyu Tolgoi looks to have ironed out the issues (personal issues too with McCrae leaving as MD and the Mines minister in UB also told to leave)). Rossing (U) is struggling big time, and Ranger (ERA) is about to close (Jabiluka will not get off the ground, and Ranger Deeps is looking unlikely) and grades are lessening by the day at both.

I think with Walsh's razor still very much sharp and glistening, and wanting to cut costs to the bone, the results to date may not convince him to get RTX to find more dough. I guess we shall see in a few weeks....
