Why not educate yourself and find out, rather that sprouting about what you clearly no little.
The "target resource" you refer to, used by Frontier is very similar to that which CRA did for CDU's Rocklands project, after just a few wide spaced holes were drilled.
As was the case in both instances, the "target resource" was arrived at via various geological interpretations, including limited drilling.
Thay are both valid methods for potential resource calculation and are used by companies large and small all the time.
The issue is what and how this information is released to the market...not the information itself!
FNT discussed potential NPV, based on a potential income on a potential resource...lol...clearly a few too many "potentials" in there.
CDU announced a similar "potential resource target of 46m tonnes Cu @ 1.4%" many months ago, mostly based on CRA's limited data...but never mentioned incomes or NPV!
Since then, CDU have drilled some 120 holes, have managed to identify nemerous trend indicators, have conducted extensive geochem analysis as well as almost exponentially increase their understanding of the nature of the mineralisation and controlling geology...a blind man can see they are clearly following and defining what they believe to be there on a daily basis with a high level of success.
The now infamous "inferred resource of 59mt @ 2.04% Cu eq." announcment was based on this predominately new information...it was poles apart from the original "target resource" announced months earleir.
There are those who will happily quote you the relevant JORC code and declare McCrae's 59mt resource invalid...there are also those who will quote those very same passages and declare it valid. Such are the vaguaries of a category requiring a great deal of "interpretation".
Understand this and it quickly becomes clear we are simply talking semantics here...the resource is likely to be there, even the JORC members will tell you this...they just can't announce it yet.
Cheers!
