It depends on how you look at it. The property sector (XPT) is the only sector that has not clawed back to at least 50% of its pre GFC highs. Now that valuations have bottomed or rising(?), finance is no longer as tight as it was last year, and most of the larger REITS have increased their cash positions, it strikes me as a relatively lower risk sector with relatively better dividends.
IMHO, SGP is one of the better picks in this sector.
