I am certainly not giving advice....but if I was in that situation....And my hat is off for the torment you have suffered over the years. I'd sell them first thing tomorrow....and maybe buy them back in low to mid 20's. There is upside if they can un-fk themselves long enough to make an operational and profitable mine.....With what they have - it is certainly possible....It remains to be seen if they have the will and talent.....
