i think posters are accurately touching one of the big issues.

i have not done any research on this, but the "diversity of supply" may be a new huge factor.

with the enviro issues, the "lock the gate" issues, this diversity of supply may be a new big issue, because if say, SHell or BG has a big chunk of ite pproposed gas supply to come from the "prime agricultural land", then by tagetting BOW they may be able to spread the risk of supply constarint, by having their foot on gas reserves located on less than prime land.

when PES was taken over, those issues were not at the forefront.
