An acquaintance of mine well connected in the commercial property world referred me to an article in yesterday's Australian by Frank Gelber. He pointed out that it was a very astute analysis of what we can expect. I have posted the link below. Message I take from it is that you need to pick a survivor among the REITs, then be patient. I would point out that the article refers specifically to the Australian market - unfortunately MOF management invested more than half of unitholders' money in overseas markets with bleaker prospects - a mistake management should suffer consequences for, but probably never will.
