By way of keeping all of us SDI enthusiasts grounded, it should not be lost on us that SDI has been "ramping up" in Brazil for a very long time.
I became a shareholder in SDI in 2012 and Brazil was in ramp-up mode back then. Yet, today Revenue ex-Brazil is no different to what it was 4 years ago (although, to be fair, in 2012 Brazil reported a $2.57m loss; today the Brazilian business in almost breaking even).
Of course, the market - in terms of the valuation multiple of the stock (viz. ~5.5x EV/EBITDA) - is certainly not giving an credit for Brazil being successful, meaning that, to the extent that Brazil does one day end up making a half-decent profit contribution, it certainly isn't being reflected in the current market value of SDI.
PS. On an unrelated note, somewhat of an unorthodox manner in which to go ex-dividend...
