Its been stated by a number of analysts that the majors have cut back on exploration thus depleting existing reserves. That and the gold price seems to want to move higher, also a discovery in Australia where its perceived as a lower risk politically to mine in should see a premium $ for a deposit.
Watching this story unfold has certainly been an exciting ride although we are not there yet, GLTAH that have held on hope we are on the cusp of something exciting.
