"The Chairman (Ziggy) verbally stated that "shareholders overwhelming support for the resolution".
Next came the screen presentation of the percentage of support.
Lastly he asked the attendees to vote."
I'm surprised with the lack of reaction to my comments. Do I assume that shareholders approve the process taken by the chairman, or believe the process wouldn't influence the way attendees vote.
These champions of business would most probably demand a secret ballot for Suncorp employees at a Union meeting.
Would someone clarify to me the when a shareholder can call for a "Show of hand" at a AGM?
My understanding is that "Show of hands" is count the votes at the AGM, whilst a poll vote equates to a share equals a vote. Is my understanding correct?
