AKP is like a one horse race with a massive prize at the end...

AKP is like a one horse race with a massive prize at the end except that:
- We think that the finish line is just over the horizon but we can't be sure
- There are obstacles that we don't know about yet that will need to be negotiated when we come across them
- All obstacles are technically surmountable but some will require back tracking, problem solving and building of skills
- The longer we take to get there, the higher the chance that another will join the race
- Our horse requires constant feeding and sometimes medical attention
- Our horse might die before it gets to the finish line
- Other horses can't join the race because we have that patent covered. But, will that prevent birds, snakes,...?
- We have to imagine where the horse is and how its doing because we are not allowed to see it, only the occasional distant and blurry pic

The last point frightens me the most.
But, with all of the above, I remain happy that it is still a one horse race and the people with the most to lose are the ones taking the pics.
