Given how quickly they're appearing after every transaction, it looks to me more like a deliberate attempt to keep the price down. Genuine retail holders wouldn't be selling so many sub $1000 (and sub $500) parcels with odd share amounts, nor would they load up new orders within split seconds of each sale going through. It smacks more of something a computer program would do, though it doesn't look like the typical price-suppression bot.
I think yesterday's rise got the attention of an accumulator who decided to pull on the handbrake today & keep things under 10c for a while longer.
