According to that Wikipedia article, Wilson is Ranogajec wife's maiden name. Also, according to Wikipedia, Ranogajec's business partner is John Walsh. If I was a betting person and not a cautious investor in real estate companies, I would bet that John Wilson is Ranogajec/Walsh.
$16 million would be one week's betting for Ranogajec/Walsh or anyone betting $1 billion a year, i.e. normal working capital.
If the SMH story linking John McGrath to this is rubbish, as it appears to be, I wonder if John McGrath has sufficient grounds or motivation to take legal action against the SMH.
