The name John Wilson does in fact have some history as a nom de plume in gambling circles. According to the wikipedia link below world's biggest gambler Zeljko Ranogajec went by the name John Wilson for some of his betting activities. Either Mcgrath has adopted the same name, or it's a case of mistaken identity.
