I think that buyer is ongoing. I noticed that the buying exchange is CXA, they have been ongoing. There is a chance that maybe NST topping up over the line that was crossed. That was ongoing yesterday as well. They bought a line at 37c, so why not keep going sub 37c while you can? All a little speculative until we know, but its rare for anyone to pay 2c above the last price unless its serious. It could be somebody else who has worked out the numbers, but time will tell.
For example, if you owned 80m shares and wanted to make a higher bid, the last 20m shares may save you $2m minimum by soaking down here. That is a worth while saving. dyor
