That's my opinion. It's not the share price that matters (as others have pointed out), it's the market cap. We don't know the size (or, by extension, the value) of the ore reserve. Two drill holes aren't enough to give a realistic estimate of the size.
Time will tell; I hold the stock, so if it comes back positive and it turns out that I'm underestimating the size of the share price rise, I'll be a very happy camper. Do remember, though, that there's a lot of options out there with a strike price of 0.005; that will act as a brake on any rise past 0.005. There's also a lot with a strike price of 0.01, which will act as a brake on any rise past that point as well. Also, I'd be a lot happier to see steady gains on the back of solid news than to see a massive surge followed by a fall back (as seems more likely, if the talk on the forums here is anything to go by.)
The announcement of the drill date was on the 31st of March, to start on the 18th of April. It went up to 0.005 in the second week of April, if I remember rightly (based upon the charts I can access right now; CommSec is playing games at the moment. Might be an issue with Safari, I don't know.) I'm pretty sure that was about the time that the Age/Sydney Morning Herald mentioned the stock in a "hot stock" article... *googles* There we have it - 13th of April.
So, no, I doubt that the 0.005 was because of the announcement; I think it's more likely people taking a plunge after seeing the commentary in the Fairfax media, and hence pushing the price up.
No disrespect taken; I'm more than happy to listen to dissenting viewpoints. That's what this forum's all about. Give me solid reasons (rather than just opinion) to back up those viewpoints, and I'll listen all the more carefully. If I seem to be raining on the parade a bit, it's because there seems to be an awful lot of froth here, and that's not good for anybody; if I didn't think there was a reasonable chance of high returns, I'd not have bought in.
