On the 8 August, I started this thread but I received nothing but hostile, condescending and sarcastic responses, some even accusing me of ramping and posting misleading info. To those involved... apology accepted.
And Sushi1 and redpencil, don't even bother responding as I still have you on ignore.
From my earlier post, this is what I was informed by management in August:
I have now received confirmation from the company that the Niobrara shale formation does indeed extend onto the Grieve field.
They have to date not performed any horizontal drilling to test the shale as it is quite an expensive exercise and the company doesn't have any spare cash at the moment.
ELK will however be fully evaluating the Niobrara in each of the new wells they drill for the Grieve EOR project. Any evidence of increased permeability of the shale from these new wells could then justify horizontal drilling and possibly fracking to test the concept.
The company is apparently aware that both the permeability and fracture density does improve where the rocks are structurally folded and there is some evidence of this in and around the Grieve Field.
Andy also mentioned that there are a few wells in the Wind River Basin, including one well nearby at West Poison Spider oil field, which does produce from this formation.
