    don't confuse LME stocks with annual supply / demand surplus...the 12,000 tonnes is the supply / demand imbalance and is at 12,000 tonnes surplus (ie 12,000 tonnes more nickel being produced than is consumed)....so, expect LME stocks to increase by the amount of the surplus
