Yes its a joke that Mbot is the bearer of as I am directly in the electrical trade and construction person I see the growing use of batteries in non EV application for UPS at mine sites where larger and larger battery room are just becoming bigger and bigger for back up power system for protection of HV switch gear and the many other uses of UPS systems with control of equipment. Many seem to just be considering nickel / cobalt batteries are only for EV usage but the consumption in non transportation issues is also ramping up. Look at the change that is coming in underground mining equipment moving away from fossil fuels so air is cleaner in the shafts underground of all the mining facilities underground in the world. Battery powered Jumbo drills are being developed and battery powered shovels for mucking out underground the list grows of the applications and if you cant see it then your blind.
The consumption of Nickel certainly will 10 fold as we electrify all and move away from fossil fuels and we better get faster at it due the climate issue world wide is not getting any better.
