No, Commsec etc are a bit basic by design and not suited to advanced traders.
InteractiveBrokers is an advanced platform with very cheap rates and a very good trading system. Brokerage for Australia is 8bps with a A$6.00 minimum charge per order. On the platform you can trade global stocks, bonds, futures, CFD's, currency etc. Rates and system are institutional level - so many professional investors use it (hedge funds etc).
Look them up on the internet. They have a heap of online demo's and can even download the system and try it out using a 'paper account'.
