Well mate, according to DFAT :
•We advise you to reconsider your need to travel to Burkina Faso because of violent demonstrations and civil unrest and the risk of violent crime. If you do decide to travel to Burkina Faso, you should exercise extreme caution.
•Since February 2011 demonstrations have occurred in many cities in Burkina Faso, including in the capital Ouagadougou. These demonstrations have become violent and there are reports of shootings, lootings and other violent crimes. Several people have died and many have been injured. The military has also staged demonstrations. You should avoid all demonstrations and large public gatherings as they may turn violent.
•A nationwide curfew is in place between 7pm and 6am.
•Pay very close attention to your personal security at all times and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks.
•Armed bandits operate throughout Burkina Faso. You should avoid travelling alone or after dark. See Crime section below for more information.
•Airports are closed during curfew hours and some flights have been disrupted. Airports may close with little notice.
•You should be particularly vigilant in the border regions with Cote d’Ivoire due to the dangerous security situation in that country.
•We strongly advise you not to travel to border regions with Mali and Niger because of the very high risk of kidnapping targeting foreign nationals. In June and July 2010, the US Government warned that a terrorist group was attempting to kidnap Westerners in the border areas of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso, and in the vicinity of Ouahigouya. •Australia does not have an Embassy or Consulate in Burkina Faso. The local Canadian Embassy in Ouagadougou provides consular assistance to Australians in Burkina Faso (except the issue of passports). The Australian High Commission in Ghana can also provide assistance to Australians.

So yes, there is a major soverign risk there, hopefully over time politics and power take a back seat to economics and wealth! I suspect the risk is well and truely factored into the share price because with the results they are coming up with they should already be a $1 stock.
