The short positions numbers are available on the ASIC website.

Up to 19 Aug 2014 (latest daily update on ASIC website) the last few months have seen about 2.5%(ie. about 43 million shares) of EWC issued stock being short. This number has remained stable during these past months, except for a period of one day (24 April) when the aggregate short positions increased from 42 million to 62 million, three days (26-28 May) when these short positions increased again from 44 million to 65 million (down to 44 million on 29 May) and two days (20 and 21 May) when the short positions were again up from 44 million to 65 million and one day (19 June) when the short positions decrease from 44 million to 24 million.

Since 2 January, 2014, the average daily short sales in respect of traded shares in EWC was around 30%. Last Friday (22 August, 2014), the daily shorting for EWC shares amounted to 56% (1.1million out of 1.9million shares traded).
