SVW formed because the market 'undervalued' SEV shares and it was a good excuse to access at that time the 1b+ cash that was sitting within SEV because they couldn't find any value acquisitive opportunites,if they had to, exit from in future years.
NHR being taken over because the market 'undervalued' NHR shares and now accessing more cash from SVW to pay for it.
see the similarities?
pity the poor SVW shareholders who are bailing Kerry out for the second time.
just a pity NHR mgmt didnt use their brains and reconstruct the capital base ie you get 5 shares for every 1 'or' 3 for very 1 you've got, that will promote liquidity and trading something they moved away from many years ago.
the problem is that NHR mgmt want their cake and eat it too. they dont want their shares being actively traded by day traders and cant cope with the changes to ratios which might be affected like p/e,eps & yield and the associated accountability and bing answerable to a wide variety of analysts nad instos which comes from movement in the SP
thats why the Team Kerry mgmt and co is better suited to the private world where they only have to be accountable and answerable to themselves and continue paying large bonuses no matter the result.
minority shareholder couldn't sell?,wrong, like property vendors they need to adjust their offer price, its a market, they have had every opportunity, the market is open 5 days week, more like a major NHR shareholder wants to exit.
