Tried to assemble a picture to help posters in their estimation of CTP's ability to service the East Coast Market in the Medium Term Future.

The following is a selective output from the master Google Earth File. (I seriously commend Google Earth to posters it is an amazing tool)
Google_Earth_Plot_16_12_2018.pdf   The PDF is larger & has the GSA's on it.

Some points that come to mind:-

    • The Carpentaria pipeline has a medium term haulage commitment to take 30 TJ  of IPL gas to Phosphate hill.

    • As well as that MAC need to get some or all of their 22 TJ half share of Mereenie + 4.7 of presold to market and by the way it is interesting that the NGP is not fully committed yet so unless MAC have sold their gas locally they are holding back.

The following is just my current best guess based on the plethora of public releases & comment on the NGP.

    • Jemena, in their address at the opening of the NGP focused on Beetaloo as the catalyst and as far as I know did not mention CTP.

    • There seems to be  no point in upping the capacity of the NGP unless the gas has somewhere to go at the other end and with Jemena prepared to put huge sums of long term capital investment I can't see APA trying to duplicate the system. In any case I can't find anything about expansion of the Carpentaria Pipeline in  ASX reports to date.

    • Jemena are well advanced on land approvals Etc. for the Southern  section of the NGP extension which they are presently referring to as the Galilee pipeline and Lidar survey tenders close shortly.

    • So I am monitoring the supportive reserves certification which will probably be a significant factor in triggering the process leading to FID on this pipeline presently targeted for gas transmission in 2022. The good news is that if everything goes to plan with their MOU with Galilee on the pipeline all things could happen pretty quickly.

    • Readers can form their own opinions as to how long after 2022 that the remaining section connecting with the Galilee Pipeline extension to Mount Isa will take to commission.

    • My guess, and it is just a guess, is that Jemena will not build the Galilee pipeline to the full capacity first up but will do something similar to what they did with the NGP.

    • The remaining pipe is about 600K as the crow flies so it will be quite an exercise.

    Best Regards

    OGP
