The security situation has significantly improved and stabilised as negotiations between those groups seeking greater regional input and the Government of Niger progress. As a result of the improved security many exploration companies have recommenced working in Niger with both Fugro and UTC flying airborne surveys, and several companies undertaking drilling programmes, soil radiometric surveys and mapping in 2009.
Proposed Drilling The Company is confident of continuing working on its concessions and has quickly re-established its full time country presence. The Company is now seeking to drill selected targets prior to the regions hot and wet season, August-September.
In particular the mineralisation identified on the Terzemazour permit requires drill testing to assess its length, width and depth. All initial sites selected for drilling have good access from nearby road infrastructure (500m from sealed road) and are serviced by nearby Agadez (18kms in the case of Terzemazour)."
Have a look at the radiometric graphic .... they have HOT uranium mineralisation running all the way down the trend! With two fabulous collection points clearly indicating a large resource.
Early days yet ... but all this is just below the Imouraren uranium mine, which has around 150,000 tonnes of U3O8 ... thats 320 milion pounds!!!
Early days .. patience needed, but you can see why I am excited!!
