We should thank DS for getting some chat going.
Ever tried to get money out of a lawyer, let alone a law firm,
it does not happen with ease. They don't pay for their own time, so they string it
out at their leisure as the opposing party racks up costs, in this case, likely more than the claim.

These types of disputes very rarely make it to court. More like a simple arbitration with an offer of $30K or there abouts.
