the coal seam gas deal certainly does look interesting, the amount of shares on issue is not really a problem as traders love liquidity just look at the likes of TAM,RAU,EXM,LKO etc they have had some massive momentum based rallies in recent months.
it wouldn't surprise if FUT is an actively traded stock in the morning, mainly because traders didn't have enough time to run it up after coming out to the trading halt at 3:40pm.
gas/coal seam gas are certainly still a hot sector to be involved in.
