I have a question that I would love someone to answer for...

I have a question that I would love someone to answer for me....

I have s small parcel of GIR.

I bought them as a short term trade on the 5th of Feb.

I sold half of them on the same day, then kept the rest of them (although I did this by moving my sell order on the balance away from anywhere near current prices, so they are still subject of a sell order, albeit not going to be filled in the near future by the looks of it.)

The settlement date for the buy trade was 8th Feb.

A mate of mine has some GIR, and now has his allocation of CAP shares showing in his holdings.

I don't see any in mine.

Could this be:

a) because I missed the record date (I believe it was the 8th Feb, same date as my settlement)

b) Because my remaining shareholding in GIR is subject of a currently incomplete sell order?


My assumption is that I missed the record date cut off...


Anyone's help would really be appreciated.
